{Christmas Prizeapolooza 2018} Capturing your family – Cook style.

Each and every year around this time we think back to how much we have all grown and changed over the last 12 months, if you’re lucky you can simply look towards your walls to see the changes.

baby2

When you have little people they literally change before your eyes. One day they may barely be walking, the next they’re running. Having someone with a fantastic eye capturing those moments is one of the greatest gifts.

Aimee Cook Photography is located in Bathurst and is one of the leading family and newborn photographers in the area. What I love most about Aimee is that she isn’t afraid to get down on your little one’s level to make them laugh, she is a perfectionist so won’t stop until she has that perfect photo.

Aimee is not only a great photographer but a beautiful soul, so she knows how to capture the important moments; you know, the little bits in between the big moments.

The best part about Aimee is her incredible ability in capturing the exquisite details of your newborn. She finds the little eyelashes, the flakes of skin and squishy cheeks so you can remember them for the rest of your life.

It’s only a couple of weeks away until the best day of the year… that is YOU-HAVE-TO-BE-MUMS-SLAVE-DAY otherwise known by Hallmark as Mother’s Day!

I have taken the time to find some goodies so that all you have to do is share this post with your nearest and dearest so they know what to get you.

For studio shots we cannot recommend Aimee Cook Photography highly enough, she is fantastic at seeking out those moments-between-the-moments.

{Christmas Prizeapolooza 2017} Christmas memories with Aimee

So as we sit here at the end of another year, time just seems to be escaping quicker then ever before. It reminds me just how important capturing these moments are. 20882822_1672219762830483_8347622416954975669_n

That’s where my gorgeous friend Aimee Cook steps in.

{Girl Crush Tuesday} Captured by Aimee

We have some pretty hard girl crushes. These are the types of ladies that stamp their style on the world. They are the type of people that will always be remembered and little girls grow up wanting to be. They are women of substance. Women that make the world a better place. Happy Girl Crush Tuesday everybody.line4

Today we are hearting hard on the gorgeous Aimee Cook from Aimee Cook Photography.

Aimee Cook is a local lady who loves capturing the important moments and sharing them for everyone to see. Aimee is a baby, family and wedding photographer based in Bathurst. She is creative, talented and above all, completely lovely.

One of the most wonderful things about Aimee is that she started the Beautiful-You campaign. This is a program that allows parents of children with special needs to obtain photographs of their little superheros at no cost. Aimee offers a safe environment for these children to flourish which in turn allows Aimee to capture the perfect moments of childhood without a judgmental stare. What I love most about the Beautiful-You project is that it provides a place for children to be children while mum and dad are gifted with special memories for always.

Aimee loves being involved in the local community and regularly donates her time and skillset wherever she can.

Thanks Aimee for showing all little girls that through hard work and a kind heart you really can make the world around you a better place.

{Christmas Prizeapolooza 2016} Aimee Cook is capturing you this Christmas

I genuinely cannot tell you how much I love Aimee from Aimee Cook photography. She has been a brilliant supporter of The Central Nest from the very beginning. I have even recently had photos taken of my little family through her expert lens.

What you see with Aimee is what you get, she is fun and approachable, talented and an absolute crack-up! If my baby-bird doesn’t want her photo taken it is hard to convince her not to be an absolute gremlin but somehow Aimee managed to flick the switch and charm up even the moodiest toddler. Your kids will love her self-proclaimed ‘dad jokes’ and allow gorgeous memories to be captured for always.

Aimee Cook Photography is growing so quickly that they now have their very own custom built studio! Great for newborn and baby photos as well as beauty and product shoots.

The future is only looking brighter for Aimee Cook photography with the introduction of video services very soon.

So if want to capture your today so you remember it tomorrow then talk to Aimee Cook Photography today!

{Christmas Prizeapolooza} The gift of memories

Today we are talking about memories.

Those precious moments that will just slip away if you do not capture them with both hands. Now saying that, some of us capture them better than others! Enter the gorgeous Aimee Cook.

Aimee has a way of capturing your precious family moments in a natural, wholesome way that will ensure in time to come you will remember all the little things.

The way your new baby smells. The smile on your husband’s face when he proudly cradles his son. All. The. Little. Things. aimee

Aimee Cook Photography is leading the creative charge in Bathurst. A local girl done good.

When you are pregnant you want someone that will make you feel comfortable and proud of your changing body and Aimee definitely does that.

Plus, once your incredibly wonderful little human arrives you want a caring and supportive person to capture your new bond in a safe environment.

hope

One of this things I love about Aimee is that she offers hospital sessions once your baby is born. The moments following the birth of your child are quickly swept away in a blur of tiredness, feedings and general staring and to have someone brilliantly capture that special time really is the best gift of all.

Aimee Cook Photography really should be your first call this season to capture your family, just as it is.

Aimee has very generously offered a brilliant prize to one VERY lucky Nester. She is giving the gift of memories in the form of a gift voucher for $300!

{Christmas Prizeapolooza} The gift of memories

The gorgeous Aimee Cook from Aimee Cook Photography is our latest local crush.logo

Offering natural maternity, newborn, child and family photography in Bathurst and surrounding areas she has given the gift of memories to many families you know around town.

Aimee also offers wedding photography through a partnership with Sydney based photographer Sally Zarka. You can see some of their work here -> www.aimeeandsally.com.au

Aimee says it was during maternity leave with her now four old daughter, Sophie that she undertook a Diploma of Photography to keep her mind active and give her something to do other than an endless pile of washing!

Aimee grew up in a family of artists including two grandparents who were painters and a grandfather who was a picture framer. Plus, her mother renovates houses, makes leadlight glass amongst many other craft endeavours! Aimee’s father is a talented musician and her brother is a graphic designer so she is surrounded by creative spirits. Aimee says she spent a long time trying to discover her own hidden ‘talent’ but the moment a camera landed in her hands she knew she had found her calling.aimee

Not long after completing her diploma she began getting requests from friends and family who had seen her work and wanted her to shoot their own families. Aimee Cook Photography grew quickly from there.aimeecookgroup

What makes Aimee different is that she offers a program unlikely to be found anywhere else in our area. The Beautiful You Project offers free photography for children with special needs. This program is designed to celebrate children from all families with all different types of special needs.beautiful you

She also offers a wide range of custom products, that are timeless and unique. Aimee says she is passionate about looking for new ways to get photographs off the computer and onto walls (or in albums) in family homes across the Central West.

Aimee says her very favourite part of her job is watching families grow, especially those that she has seen since the beginning.aimee cook baby

The work of Aimee Cook is very relaxed and natural. She attempts to capture families and children as they are and find what makes each individual family unique.

{Locally Found} Local Photographer is focusing on special families

Recently, we spoke about the wonderful project that one local photographer has undertaken that is designed to give back to families that have children with special needs.

Aimee Cook of Aimee Cook Photography has created the ‘Wonderful You’ project. This project provides free photography sessions to children with special needs in a safe and non-judgemental environment.

This weekend, gracing the front page of the local paper, Aimee discusses the importance of this project and why she feels the need to provide this service to the community. You can read about about it here: -> Western Advocate – Special You Project.
