One of my favourites sessions I have ever had with my little ones was the Pure Baby Session. The Pure Baby sessions are studio portrait shoots designed specifically for babies aged 5-15 months of age (or pre-walking).

The sessions run for approximately 60-90 minutes and are the perfect way to capture your little one’s gorgeous smiles, expressions, and quirky characteristics. That age is perfect because it’s the time when a baby’s personality really starts to emerge.

{Christmas Prizeapolooza} Words Etc says it best..

One of our favourite new lusts is Words Etc.

Run by the fantastic Jacqui Greig from Forbes (and online!) she offers custom design services for all your invitation, stationary and print needs!

Words Etc has been running for just over 12 months and is becoming a real frontrunner in the graphic design environment.

I think what makes Jacqui different is that she is so incredibly passionate about good design, and will go above and beyond to ensure the end product matches the client’s vision perfectly. She genuinely loves nothing more than the challenge of finding an exact font, or deciding on the right colour shade to make someone happy. She says it is the small details that really make the difference.

Jacqui is a journalist by trade, not a graphic designer, and it is this that gives her an advantage in working with clients. She says it allows her and her clients to understand each other without ‘graphic-design-mumbo-jumbo-designer-language’.

Words Etc is growing all the time and 2015 is going to be the biggest year yet! As a girl after my own heart she had a solid soft spot for stationary and is working on her very own collection of social stationary with a distinctive stamp of style! Stay tuned for that Nesters!

She will also be releasing a whole new collection of prints in the new year.. WOO HOO!

{Christmas Prizeapolooza} The gift of memories

The gorgeous Aimee Cook from Aimee Cook Photography is our latest local crush.

Offering natural maternity, newborn, child and family photography in Bathurst and surrounding areas she has given the gift of memories to many families you know around town.

Aimee says it was during maternity leave with her now four old daughter, Sophie that she undertook a Diploma of Photography to keep her mind active and give her something to do other than an endless pile of washing!

Aimee grew up in a family of artists including two grandparents who were painters and a grandfather who was a picture framer. Plus, her mother renovates houses, makes leadlight glass amongst many other craft endeavours! Aimee’s father is a talented musician and her brother is a graphic designer so she is surrounded by creative spirits. Aimee says she spent a long time trying to discover her own hidden ‘talent’ but the moment a camera landed in her hands she knew she had found her calling.

Not long after completing her diploma she began getting requests from friends and family who had seen her work and wanted her to shoot their own families. Aimee Cook Photography grew quickly from there.

What makes Aimee different is that she offers a program unlikely to be found anywhere else in our area. The Beautiful You Project offers free photography for children with special needs. This program is designed to celebrate children from all families with all different types of special needs.

She also offers a wide range of custom products, that are timeless and unique. Aimee says she is passionate about looking for new ways to get photographs off the computer and onto walls (or in albums) in family homes across the Central West.

Aimee says her very favourite part of her job is watching families grow, especially those that she has seen since the beginning.

The work of Aimee Cook is very relaxed and natural. She attempts to capture families and children as they are and find what makes each individual family unique.
