| CHRISTMAS PRIZEAPOLOOZA 2019 | Ivory Rose Christmas

Ivory Rose Botanicals are your local team that will help with all your floral needs! They do everything from weddings to corporate, every day flowers to big events.

Ivory Rose Botanicals  started three and half years ago in a home based studio, it then branched out in the street of B-town and recently has moved back home. It’s a business that is forever evolving and at the moment it’s a girl boss business run by a busy mama who also wrangles three little bambinos in between creating luxurious bunches of blooms!

2020 for Ivory Rose Botanicals  is shaping up to be the biggest year yet. The thing that sets Ivory Rose Botanicals apart from the others is that they do things their own way, they don’t feel the pressure to be part of the ‘norm’ and have created a unique business that welcomes and encourages people from all walks of life.

Ivory Rose Botanicals is run by Maddie and her team of flower stars. Karlee, Tanya, Bri, Live, Lara and Alicia all possess that special flower power which means you will never be disappointed.

Ivory Rose Botanicals prides itself on supporting many shapes and forms of life to be the best version of themselves and designed a workplace that works for them, not the other way around. They tend to create flowers following the same concept – free spirited, in the moment and allowing creativity to lead the way!

{Christmas Prizeapolooza 2018} Christmas blooms better with Ivory Rose

We LOVE Ivory Rose Botanicals! Not only do they do amazing floral art masterpieces but they are genuinely the nicest, friendliest store of people you will ever walk into.

Located in George Street, Bathurst you will not have to look far to see one of the most amazing window displays in all of the area, they take great care decorating and staging a window like no other. The shop is stunning even before you walk in the door.

Ivory Rose Botanicals has grown from a home studio to one of the most successful businesses in town in such a short time. It’s a family run and operated business open 6 days a week. What sets Maddie and her team apart is that fact that you aren’t just a customer when you walk in, you quickly become part of the family.

Maddie has some wonderful staff working alongside her including a number of ladies from Vivability who make Ivory Rose Botanicals  just that little bit more lovely. She also supports a couple of talented up and coming florists to the business and aims to prove that those with ability (and as a self employed working mummy) can achieve the greatest of goals. (p.s watch this space for the upcoming Power of Ability launch!)

Ivory Rose Botanicals  is different from the rest because they push the boundaries of floral art to ensure each one of their pieces are uniquely designed to entice the senses. They rely on the ‘fresh is best’ policy and only order enough stock to turn over every two days to ensure you only ever receive the highest quality produce.

What I love about  Ivory Rose Botanicals are the fact that you can also get super hands on. Maddie and the team hold workshops where you can learn floral art and create your own magnificent masterpieces in a fun and supportive atmosphere. They even have Christmas workshops!

{Mother’s Day} Gift guide 2018

It’s only a couple of weeks away until the best day of the year… that is YOU-HAVE-TO-BE-MUMS-SLAVE-DAY otherwise known by Hallmark as Mother’s Day!

I have taken the time to find some goodies so that all you have to do is share this post with your nearest and dearest so they know what to get you.

OR

If you’re like me – I am more likely to just buy what you want then wrap it and tell the bambinos to pass it to me mother’s day morning.

Here are our top Mother’s Day ideas:

Gift Voucher from Pop-Up Succulent Shop

Renelle from Pop-Up Succulent Shop is an absolute delight and any mum who loves a little gardening would love a voucher (or gift) for some succulent goodies! I have recently been to a Kokedama workshop class and it was amazing (you can read about it here -> The Central Nest Succulent Workshop).

How To Cook Everything A3 Print from Hard To Find.

This is a great print for a mama in your life who likes to cook (or eat). It would also be a great gift for someone who you might not know quite as well, such as the mother-in-law.

It’s funky, informative and pretty as a picture!

A Photography voucher from Jennifer Stocks Photography or Aimee Cook Photography

There is nothing truer than the fact that photos steal moments in time and paying for a professional photographer to capture your special moments is the most wonderful thing you can do.

A pic on the Iphone does not even compare to the moments captured through the lens of a talented photographer.

If you’re interested in outdoor, fun, fresh photography then look no further than Jennifer Stocks Photography. She has an eye for detail that is unparalleled.

For studio shots we cannot recommend Aimee Cook Photography highly enough, she is fantastic at seeking out those moments-between-the-moments.

A bunch of glorious blooms from Ivory Rose Botanicals

If all else fails I don’t know a mama that doesn’t love flowers. Ivory Rose is next level and will help build you that something special to show your mum just how much you adore her.

Whatever your gift, make sure you add a handwritten note and your mama’s heart will be filled. At the end of the day – just let your mama know she is loved.

Happy mother’s day to all the mamas xx

{Girl Crush Tuesday} The marvellous Maddie

We have some pretty hard girl crushes. These are the types of ladies that stamp their style on the world. They are the type of people that will always be remembered and little girls grow up wanting to be. They are women of substance. Women that make the world a better place. Happy Girl Crush Tuesday everybody.line4

Today we are saluting the brilliantly talented, creative genius that is Maddie Veitch from Ivory Rose Botanicals.

Maddie is a local mama who is working hard for herself and her family. Not long ago she opened Ivory Rose Botanicals in George Street Bathurst and since that time has shown herself to be the front-runner in floral design.

Maddie will help with everything from a simple bouquet for your bestie, all the way up to your wedding arch super pieces. She doesn’t just sell flowers, she literally creates art.

Ivory Rose Botanicals also holds really fun classes in floral arrangements, everything from headpieces to flower centrepieces.

Plus, the totes best thing is rolling into her little studio and getting to hang out with Maddie and her beautiful little boys.

The Central Nest loves supporting local women working hard to make a difference and Maddie is certainly doing that. So, thank you Maddie for giving my little girls someone to look up to so they realise you really can strive to have it all.

{Locally Found} White Night was just Right

I was lucky enough to attend the inaugural White Night Party at  Mayfield Garden recently and I had an absolute blast!

Upon arrival we were met by the gorgeous and eternally friendly Meg who welcomed us with a big smile and a glass of delicious punch (that girl knows how to make friends!)mayfield2

I have to admit I have never been to the gardens before but once I followed the winding path I was amazed to see just how beautiful the place is! The party was centred under a generous white tent surrounded by rolling grass hills and a magnificent water feature.

We found our seats on the shared tables and quickly made friends with the people beside us. I love the idea of communal tables, I think it is so easy to go places with your friends and only stay in your group but shared tables encourage you to meet those around you. We were lucky enough to sit with a couple of very friendly ladies from Raine and Horne Real Estate in Bathurst.

The tables were generously adorned with flowers and fernery as well as bottles of red and white wine. It was certainly clear from the outset that no one was going to be short of a drink all night!

The whole place felt like we had stepped into an exclusive Hampton’s party, the floral decorations from Ivory Rose Botanicals were sublime, generous and really were the icing on the cake.

The night’s entertainment was a brilliant band The Orient Royal Mail Band who played well into the night and Mayfield Garden even ran a surprise fake wedding to showcase how brilliant a wedding could be at the grounds. I tell you what, if I was planning a wedding the Gardens would certainly be one of the frontrunners for me!

The food was delicious and generous and in particular if I could get my little mitts on an endless supply of the olive bread I would be eternally happy. I am obsessed with it, it was without a doubt the yummiest bread I have EVER eaten. *recipe please!*

The food was scrumptious and I am a strong believer in the food mentality on offer from Heath Smith and Head Chef Dan Child who offer paddock to plate wherever possible. Mayfield Garden are really ahead of the game when it comes to sustainable local produce being used effectively and absolutely deliciously.

All in all I look forward to going back next year to Mayfield Garden‘s White Night and celebrate a night filled with laughter, friendship and good food with my pals.

I can’t wait until the next chance I get to head out to Mayfield Garden. I hear there’s a cafe – oohhh I wonder if they have the olive bread!?!?
