Gorgeous Renelle from Pop Up Succulent Shop is generously giving away two tickets to one of her workshops so you and a friend can have a great afternoon together creating something beautiful. I tell you what, I desperately want to keep this prize for myself!
This is a fantastic local business that you really need to know about! Jess Does Dots is owned and operated by the incredibly talented Jess Sandford (Channon) and is located in Orange.
Jess Does Dots creates original art (framed and on canvas), hand painted earrings, hand painted Christmas decorations and canvas print bags.
The thing that sets Jess apart is that her masterpieces are handcreated with love and talent and some of her paintings can take weeks to finish! The time she spends on these creations are not reflected in her price but you can tell when you recieve one of her items just how much time and love has gone into it.
This business began after one of Jess’ friends make the suggestion for Jess to have an outlet. Jess suffered severe postnatal depression and anxiety and her friend (who was a nurse) suggested it could help her cope. Jess had obtained a top mark in the NSW HSC Art body of work and finally had a reason to switch off from everyday life and focus on her creative side.
You feel the heart in everyone of Jess’ creations.
Jess Does Dots is offering one very lucky nesters an excellent prize pack this year that includes a canvas bag, 4 hand painted cards, 4 handpainted christmas tree decorations and a hand painted pair of earrings! I SO want this one for myself!
One of the best things about the Christmas Prizeapolooza is the great little businesses that get on board that I wouldn’t have known about without this showcase. One of those great little businesses is Elk & Tom
Elk & Tom is owned and operated by Elizabeth Klavins who is a fibre artist. Elk & Tom offers a range of Artisan jewellery and home wares created through hand embroidery and needle felting/wet felting.
Elizabeth says Elk & Tom was created a few years ago when her son was born. She says she wanted to pursue her creative side while on leave. She says she has always been creative, so to her creating her own little business was the natural next step.
Over the years you may have seen Elk & Tom at places like the Bathurst Artisan Markets or online through her social media pages. Recently she jumped on board with the beautiful store in Bathurst “Bespoke & Co.”. Elk & Tom is also part of “The Journey person” which is a collective of artisans from the Central West, who get together a few times a year, selling their handmade items at Pop ups held at The Corner Store Gallery in Orange. Elk & Tom will very soon have their own online store which is exciting for 2020!
The thing that sets Elk & Tom apart from other artists is that a lot of her work is inspired by beautiful Australian Flora and Fauna. It’s unique and quite popular with people.
Elk & Tom is a fantastic idea for gifts for those who are looking to send a little bit of our flora/fauna overseas to loved ones.
Elk & Tom is making Christmas more beautiful and is offering one winner 1 Pair of Hand embroidered Waratah Studs (19mm) + 1 x Hand embroidered Brooch (4.8cm), featuring Gum Leaves, Gum Blossom, Wattle & Our iconic Christmas Beetle.

Karen’s father, Doug creates amazing wooden Log Pots, Sourced from a Property in Warren, NSW, that he has worked on for the past 58 years. His amazing, unique creations, along with Karen’s succulents and cacti, make the most gorgeous and one off gifts and home décor.
The succulents, cacti and log pots have become very popular and people even come from Sydney, Canberra and all around to purchase something unique and special.
That Succulent Place is always open for business; a quick message to organise a day and time to come out to Eglinton is never a problem. She also has regular open weekends, which you can find details about on her facebook page.
Knots with Style began from a hobby and she now holds regular workshops, both locally and out in Central West NSW at Warren, Narromine and Dubbo. Karen says she loves to teach macramé.
Karen takes great pride in both her businesses supplying quality handmade products. She says she loves seeing customer’s reactions when they buy a product from her, and the enjoyment people get from making their own macramé creations when they attend a workshop.
One of the best things about That Succulent Place and Knots with Style is how much Karen supports other local businesses. She chooses to source succulents from other home based growers, and macramé supplies from independently owned craft and fibre businesses. She also supports the “buy from the bush” and “One Day Closer to Rain, (Drought), Rural Cottage Crafts initiative, and her parents create succulent arrangements with materials sourced from the community of Warren NSW. You know how some people are just lucky enough to be massively talented as well as perfectly lovely? Well, that is the best way to describe Kel from Kellie Gibson Graphic Design.
Kellie Gibson Graphic Design has been operating for over 6 years and can help with all your graphic design needs. This includes stationary, logos, invitations as well as custom designed team wear. She will take you all the way from design to the finished product, including printing!
Kel just loves to design and will tackle anything you throw her way. She says she often finds herself working on party invites one second, then signage and sublimated clothing designs the next!
She particularily loves working with businesses to find their voice. She says “Your logo is your branding and identity. You want to be the first thought of a perspective client when they need one of your products or services.” With this attitude and the right amount of know-how she can take your business to the next level.
My husband and I used Kellie Gibson Graphic Design when we needed our business to have a refresh. It was funny, we didn’t even know what we wanted, but thankfully Kel was able to work with us to create something better than we ever could have thought. I found it incredible how she was able to transform our scattered sketches and verbal ideas into something perfect.
As the new year roles around, it’s a really good time to think about how many photos you have of you and your kids. Photographs have this amazing ability to capture and preserve one single moment in time.
Owned and operated by the Jayde Gerke, Lorde Photography is your go-to for all your photography needs. Jayde will shoot weddings, families, events, businesses and anything else you need.
Jayde obtained her diploma in photography a few years ago and since that time her business has grown significantly. She has had a few breaks to have her 3 babies and to get married herself.
A photo shoot with Lorde Photography is relaxed, enjoyable and affordable. When Jayde did our family photoshoot we had an absolute blast. She made us all feel comfortable and she even put up with a very naughty baby (here’s looking at you Tommy!)
