| CHRISTMAS PRIZEAPOLOOZA 2019 | Run Riot this Christmas

I love businesses that start organically, and from the heart and that is exactly where Run Riot came from.

Started by Kellie Gibson last year this active wear brand has grown enormously due to its loyal supporters.

Kellie says running riot was how she described her kids when they would just take off and run wild and free, not taking life too seriously and just being in the moment. Kids run with an uninhibited freedom and lack of judgement and she wanted to encapsulate that into her sports headwear brand.

Run Riot was born from the notion of running free like a child, and who doesn’t want that feeling? Best of all, this is a brand that can be enjoyed by the whole family while you all RUN RIOT!

If you would like to help your family Run Riot then get in contact today:

| CHRISTMAS PRIZEAPOLOOZA 2019 | Plastic Cactus is a holidays must

One of the best local businesses I have learnt about since starting this blog is the gorgeous Michelle McRobert and her Plastic Cactus earring shop.

Michelle operates Plastic Cactus  with a rotating group of loyal friends/shop girls (who get paid in earrings) Mel, Lindy, Trudie, Claudia, Ruby & Piper. Plus, her awesome delivery guy/husband Matt.

Plastic Cactus  offers acrylic & bamboo earrings (Dangles & Studs), brooches, hair clips and necklaces.

The thing that sets Plastic Cactus apart is just how passionate the team are about funky, colourful and affordable earrings & jewellery. Michelle is not afraid of colour and loves creating unique and fun earrings that either have the ‘Wow’ or they ‘Awwww, aren’t they cute’ factor.

Plastic Cactus also offers statement dangles that you could wear to a Ball, a formal or a graduation. You could wear them to the horse races, a Christmas party, a Halloween party, 80’s dress-up, a ladies lunch or even your very own wedding.

In case you’re not that brave she also offers a range of simple shapes for a little pop of colour for your work uniform. Plastic Cactus also offers small simple shapes that are suitable for the school kid in your life.

The range of tiny studs is crazy! Everything from unicorns, Bulldogs seahorses, lightning bolts, Pugs, Cats, Butterflies, Horses, Penguins, Frogs, Turtles, Sausage dogs, Wombats, Clouds, Skulls, Kangaroos, Ghosts, Bats, Poodles…. In every colour imaginable!

If you haven’t bought your end of year gift yet Plastic Cactus  are a great choice for the School teachers. Imagine the students each day looking forward to seeing what they wear to school each day!

One of the coolest new things I am crushing on from Plastic Cactus are the brooches. They come in all shapes & colours

The best thing about Plastic Cactus is just how friendly Michelle and the team are, you don’t just get earrings but also make new friends!

Plastic Cactus  are the queens of collabs and have a ‘Smith & Jones’ range and a cool collab with Abby Smith who has a Vintage Clothing online shop called ‘A Puppy & Her’. Plastic Cactus  designed a range of earrings inspired by her & her collection of amazing Vintage clothing.

You can find Plastic Cactus  locally at Dejorja Boutique, Al Dente, Bathurst Regional Gallery and Australian Fossil & Mineral Museum. Otherwise order through her socials or email! Easy!

| CHRISTMAS PRIZEAPOLOOZA 2019 | That’s Hair Like It

One of my absolute favourite finds this year was Hair By Hair! Owned and operated by Emma Hair it is a fantastic salon that makes you feel good and most importantly welcome.

Emma works alongside Briana & Dianne and can take care of the whole family. They do cuts, colours and perms (not often but they can do it!). Extensions as well as bridal and event hair.

The whole team are highly trained in De Lorenzo products which are an Australian Family owned and operated Company. Their products are high quality, vegan, organic where possible, made and tested in Australia for our harsh climate

Hair By Hair opened in February 2006, with just Emma and her husband (who helped where he could!) Emma says hairdressing was always her passion and took a chance on starting a new business designed to focus less on busy appointment books and more on making clients feel good.

The thing that sets Hair By Hair apart is that they always offer real customer service, and take genuine pride in making people feel special.

It’s pretty simple Emma says just be genuine and take the time to listen. It seems to be working 14 years after starting her business and she has an incredibly loyal client network.

Hair By Hair works almost exclusively off word of mouth. Emma says it’s so rewarding when you meet a new client and they’re booked in because someone has told them how great Hair By Hair is!

Hair By Hair prides itself on being the type of business that means their staff can skip out to that important school assembly and get to weekend sport without feeling guilty. Striking a work/Life balance is so important (and ever changing) and Emma proudly says that she’s created a workplace which embraces the balance.

{Christmas Prizeapolooza 2018} Turn the tables this Christmas

Turning Tables transforms furniture and furnishings, by restoring, painting and repurposing in order to bring them back to life. Louise even does custom pieces and items on commission.

I think what is lovely is that Turning Tables started from Louise’s love for practical hands on work and artistic creativity and after encouragement from her family and friends turned into a business!

Louise will happily help create that something super special for your home. She is flexible with techniques and different styles so can find that perfect something that is different from what anyone else has!

{Christmas Prizeapolooza 2018} Chalk up some fabulous Designs

Here is another little business that I didn’t even know existed until I started this blog! Chalk. Creative Designs is owned and operated by the gorgeous Amy Keech and provides all things graphic design.

Think:  wedding stationary and styling, business stationary, logos, prints, birthday boards, signs, milestones cards and birth announcements.

Chalk. Creative Designs started when Amy was on maternity leave with her first son in 2015. Two more beautiful little cherubs have come along since that with the most recent being only 3.5 weeks old!

What sets Chalk. Creative Designs apart is that she goes above and beyond for her clients. She often gets little notice for designs needing to be done and always makes sure she comes up with the goods *sleep is for the weak*

Amy is a perfectionist and always wants to have happy clients and I think you can see those results each and every time you look at one of her designs.

If you have a design need, then you need Chalk. Creative Designs
