About

The Central West is an amazing place. Especially for raising a family. The idea behind this site was to create a place for you to come and relax and to see what goes on around here. A place to showcase and discuss living in the Central West (as well as many great things from around the world).

Me:

I am 34, married and a mother. I am a student. A legal clerk. Try-hard photographer. Amateur cook. Shopping addict and Channing Tatum’s wardrobe consultant (okay maybe not). I am well spoken in the language of sarcasm and am proud to say that on most days, I am fairly sane. Or at least functional.us

I am happy to say that the wonderful team at BONDS have allowed me to be a guest blogger for them so if you want to see some of my work feel free to head over and check out their wonderful site!

On a personal level, my husband makes my heart smile. He is the bacon to my eggs. While we are good separately, we just go better together. We are lucky enough to have three daughters and one son who really are the bees knees and the ants pants (not that you can smell the stench of parental bias in that statement).  My seven-year old is a spirited firecracker who believes that unless you are wearing a fancy dress costume, you are not properly attired. She is independent, fierce and caring. My darling five year old is a confetti mix of contradictions. She is loud and shy, funny and thoughtful. My wee little birdie just turned two and is actual real-life perfection. Well, except she licks lino for fun.. Our son is a tiny little bambino who reminds me everyday the reason I am a mama.

My husband runs and owns his own business and we are happily building our lives in the Central West but I wanted to know more, more to do, more to buy, more to see. Hence, this page being born.

You:

I love hearing from you. If you know of a local business, product or person that more people should know about make sure you contact us!

We are always up for a chat, (or really any type of adult conversation that doesn’t include mashed food or a sudocream-v-powder discussion).

  1. Hi! I am so glad I found your blog. You Liked a few photo’s on my Insta page: @littlecreekevents
    Thank you.
Thought I would let you now of a great event I am spearheading this October. It’s a Pop-Up wedding in Parkes. In a nutshell there are 3 weddings in one day, but are condensed. Each couple gets a 3 hour block with ceremony, photography and a mini reception. They get a choice from 3 bridal bouquets and 3 wedding cakes. The concept is for couples whom are looking to have a small intimate wedding (max. 40 people) in a beautiful styled garden without all the fuss and stress of a large wedding. I have all the details on my Facebook page: /littecreekevents
Along with a lovely wedding stylist, Tammy from Bombira Weddings in Mudgee we shall be hosting some great events in Parkes. Would love to tell you more about them.
    Thank you for your time!!

  2. I spent three years in Bathurst (2 of our 4 children were born there) and when we moved back home I left a little piece of my heart in the Central West. I know write medical romance novels set in the fictional town of Birrangulla – in the Central West!
    Happy I’ve discovered your blog.
    Cheers.

  3. Hi there – really nice blog. I am actually looking for a reliable babysitter (for my 4 year old twins) for a wedding I am attending in Millthorpe (delightful town) in the Central West in January. Could anybody recommend somebody in the Central West. Millthorpe is about 20 minutes from Orange/Bathurst. Thank you .

  4. Oh wow. That would be terrific. Thank you for the fast response. The date is Saturday 21st January from 5pm to about midnight. The wedding is in the main street of Millthorpe and the house I have rented (to look after the twins) is right opposite.
