{Christmas Prizeapolooza Update} The gorgeous Jaime and her Integrity Health

Just before Christmas we had our first ever Christmas Prizeapolooza. This was a fabulous success and we will never be able to thank the many local businesses that jumped on board and helped us celebrate the festive season by giving away loads of brilliant and generous gifts to some very lucky Nesters.

One such winner was the gorgeous Jaime Davis Morgan.

Jaime won the Integrity Health and Wellbeing prize pak valued at over $300.00 and she says it simply changed her life.

Here is what Jaime says about the win:

“Hello, being on the Isagenix has changed my life! I’ve lost weight and cm and feel so much better than I did before! More focused, more energy, my taste buds have completely changed too – I used to be a chocoholic lol but now can stay away from it! No longer do I get those 3pm sugar cravings either. All round it’s been a great experience and Angela and her team has been a wonderful support. I’m currently doing the maintenance program, in my second month and can’t see myself ceasing it anytime soon. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win such a great prize!!”

We love hearing from very happy Nesters and are so glad that Jaime won this prize.

{Prizeapolooza} Let Integrity Health & Wellbeing guide you towards your new years resolutions

New years resolutions – everyone has one.

According to the University of Scranton, and published in their Journal of clinical Psychology the top new years resolution for 2012 was the promise to lose weight.

If you are going to be one of those people making the same resolution for 2014 then perhaps Angela Johnson from Integrity Health and Wellbeing should be your first port of call…

Integrity Health and Wellbeing is based in our little local nest of Bathurst but has the support of a greater team of health and wellness experts from across New South Wales.

Angela tells us that Integrity Health and Wellbeing provides a wellness program that’s designed to ‘spring clean’ your insides, as well as giving some notable results on the outside. Angela and her team coach participants through nutritional cleansing programs while also mentoring through the daily lifestyle changes required to maintain the optimal health and wellness benefits achieved using the cleansing programs.angela and toby

Integrity Health and Well being was founded in July 2013 when Angela was searching for a program that would help her personally deal with an overall feeling of ‘dullness’. Added to this was the desire to assist a beloved family member with a weight loss goal, Angela embarked on a journey to find something that quite simply, ‘worked’. She says she found that answer in Isagenix.

After successfully completing the program she decided she wanted to help others obtain their wellbeing goals and as such Integrity Health and Wellbeing was created! Cruise forward six months and Angela has now left her fulltime employment in order to pursue a career in helping educate individuals, businesses and communities on health and wellness – and the day to day benefits that wellness can bring to people’s lives.

Like anything, Angela admits that participating in the program takes commitment, dedication and strength to break through the cycle of ‘bad habits’ but says Integrity Health and Wellbeing’s ‘Isagenix’ programs ‘retrain’ your body’s digestive and metabolic systems, kick starting your engine, while making simple adjustments to your daily activities ensuring you maintain results. It simply ‘fits in’ to whatever type of lifestyle you have – whether you spend a lot of time travelling, in the office or are based primarily in the home.

Angela says it isn’t about losing weight; it’s about feeling the best you can – inside and out. One of the side effects just happens to be looking fabulous!

Integrity Health and Wellbeing can also assist those wanting to earn an extra income by becoming a member of its ‘Isagenix’ branch – the backbone underpinning the nutritional cleansing programs. As well as putting some extra money in pockets, Integrity Health and Wellbeing provides professional development to help successfully run your own business through Isagenix, as well as becoming part of a wonderful supportive team.

Here is an update:

Amy has now lost 5.6kg and a total of 22.5cm over her body!

The Central Nest: What is the best part of the program so far?

Amy: The best part of the Michelle Bridges 12WBT program so far has been the meals (with a distinct advantage of not having to think about what to have for dinner!)

I think learning the healthy way to get nice meals will be something that sticks with me forever. Without having the knowledge to be able to put different flavours together to create the same taste but with less calories, it is quite hard to be able to lose the weight. I always thought I was making healthy meals but using sauces and things with all added sugar so it wasn’t as healthy as I thought. With the Michelle Bridges recipes, you are only using fresh healthy ingredients but when they are put together some can seem like you are having a ‘naughty meal’ but it is still good for you.

The Central Nest: What have been your favourite recipes?

Amy: Beef Fajita with Capsicum & Red Onion, Beef with Creamy Mustard & Mushroom Sauce, Caramelised Pork with Sweet Potato Mash & Apples and Lamb Cutlets with Spiced Rice. I have worked out that I really dislike Kangaroo and I’m not a huge fan of Chick peas!!

The Central Nest: What are you finding to be a more difficult aspect of the program?

Amy: Definitely the motivation for exercise is my biggest challenge.

I am sticking to the program nutritionally but over the last week I’ve been a bit lapse with my exercise. I know I just need to get up and do it and I always feel much better once I have done, but it is an internal fight with myself to get it done. Unfortunately in the last week, it has been the stay in bed and make excuses voice that has won, but I went for a walk this morning, so I’m getting back into it!

The Central Nest: What’s next? Have you decided what your major milestone event will be?

Amy: I am going to sign up to do the Carcoar to Creek Dash which is a 6km run on 3rd November. Whilst I know I may not be able to run all of the distance, I will try my best and hopefully will make most of it. This is certainly not something I would have considered  doing prior to the program.

The Central Nest: Thank you for sharing your story with us Amy and we wish you all the best over the next few weeks. We are very proud of your weight-loss so far and we can’t wait to hear more about your journey!

Amy and her weight loss journey

Losing weight is always tough, it is an everyday commitment for the rest of your life. There are many different programs to use, all with different benefits. Here we chat to the lovely Amy who is undertaking her first round of the Michelle Bridges 12WBT.

The beautiful Amy

The beautiful Amy

Central Nest: Hi Amy, please tell us a little about yourself.

Amy: My name is Amy Dalton and I am 30. I am a wife and mother to three beautiful children.

Central Nest: What made you decide to try the 12wbt?

Amy: I have 3 lively young children and an excitable puppy who I need to be able to keep up with.  Since having my children, my weight has continued to creep up and up. I have realised that I can always come up with an excuse as to why it’s too hard to lose weight.  I decided that I didn’t want to watch life pass me by anymore, I want to participate in it instead! So to do this, I need to lose approximately 30kg!

I decided to go with Michelle Bridges 12wbt as my sister participated a couple of rounds ago and she had great success as well as high praise for the program.  I need something that will last beyond when you ‘pay’ for it, and need to be able to create healthy meals for the family. I also have had friends participate in the program and they all highly recommend it.

Central Nest: What are your expectations of the program?

Amy: I’m not really sure what to expect, I know it is a fair bit of exercise which I am looking forward to, although that may also be my biggest test. With my husband’s shift work, it is much easier to say it’s too hard because he is working and that is a great excuse as I can’t leave the house, but I just need to get up and do it!

Central Nest: What is your ideal outcome?

Amy: My ideal outcome for my weight loss journey is to be able to fit back into a dress I wore to my 21st. I will probably need to do another round or two after this to achieve that though.

Central Nest: What was the best part of the program this week?

Amy: Getting started is always good.  I was keen to try out the recipes and it is nice creating good wholesome food for the family. I’ve been surprised by how large the portions are although I am having more calories than most as I am still breastfeeding my son.

Central Nest: What part did you find the hardest this week?

Amy: I found getting up and exercising again when I had muscle fatigue really tough. It became a bit of a mental battle just to get up and do it but was really proud of myself for doing so.

I also found giving up sugar really hard. I found myself craving chocolate, or lollies, or anything sweet and bad for you. I didn’t have any though, but this then put me in a bad mood so that wasn’t so fun. I found that my patience was really short with the kids and then feel bad when I snapped.  I hope this goes away really quickly as that has been probably the hardest mental challenge for me this week.

Central Nest: What is your favourite meal so far?

Amy: Sunday’s breakfast was delicious – French Toast with Banana, Berries & Maple Syrup and I also really enjoyed the Veal Involtini with Parmesan Polenta & Roast Cherry Tomatoes.

Central Nest: Are you enjoying the program?

Amy: I am enjoying the program so far. Everyone seems to be really supportive and I have found out that a couple of friends are also doing the program so I can meet up and do a training session together.  I have found a couple of Facebook sites for around this region where you can go and vent, or if you have any questions or want to celebrate a milestone and the people on there are lovely and supportive.

Central Nest: Thank you for sharing your story with the Nest Amy, we wish you all the best and look forward to hearing updates on your journey.
