{Girl Crush Tuesday} The Ultimate Skinnymixer

We have some pretty hard girl crushes. These are the types of ladies that stamp their style on the world. They are the type of people that will always be remembered and little girls grow up wanting to be. They are women of substance. Women that make the world a better place. Happy Girl Crush Tuesday everybody.line4Today’s girl crush is one very talented lady. She has turned her own life into inspiration for others, as well as making it a business for herself! So today we salute Nikalene Riddle who is the creator of Skinnymixers.

Nik is a wife and mother to two children. She struggled to lose weight after childbirth and noticed a real lack of healthy Thermomix recipes, so she decided to create her own! Following her recipes she lost over 38kgs. What we love about Nik is that instead of just being smug about her weightloss she decided to share the love, hence the start of Skinnymixers.

Skinnymixers is a blog filled with recipes and food information as well as a very active Facebook page that is dedicated to sharing healthy thermal cooking recipes. What makes Skinnymixers just a little bit different is that it is like a family, a community of skinny-sisters (and brothers!) who often share support and comfort to each other. Often members of the group even ‘pay forward’ the love by sharing herbs and spices or even purchasing cook books for each other.

Skinnymixers offers a whole bunch of free recipes on the blog as well as an Asian, an Indian and a Healthy Mix cook book!

I personally have the Healthy Mix cook book and am eager as beaver to get my hungry hands on the Little Taste of Asia and Little Taste of India books!

Thanks for encouraging others to look towards a healthy lifestyle Nik, you really have inspired our little nest!
