There is a gorgeous local mama who is doing brilliant things with herself. Not only is she raising two completely delightful young boys – she is also creating some of the most amazing home decor items I ever did see.
Erin started Hercules Lives Here just over a year ago and the business is growing brilliantly. She creates one of a kind home decor items that add warmth, love and inspiration to any room.
Hercules Lives Here utilises either 100% Australian cotton rope that is farmed and manufactured right here in Australia or recycled textiles from around the world which helps reduce both global emissions and textile waste.
Erin who is the ‘one man band’ behind the magic of Hercules Lives Here is completely self-taught and has recently chosen a new direction for her business. She says she now has made the conscious decision to focus on fibre art because of both the challenge and the therapeutic reward she gets from weaving and knotting.
Whenever you speak to Erin you will see that she loves pushing herself to new personal boundaries and is always exploring new textiles and new mediums, which of course means her customers are the lucky ones who reap the rewards!
What I love about Hercules Lives Here is that she gives back to the community so generously. Erin doesn’t forget where she came from and loves to return the love to both the local community and those like minded creative souls she has met online.
