We have some pretty hard girl crushes. These are the types of ladies that stamp their style on the world. They are the type of people that will always be remembered and little girls grow up wanting to be. They are women of substance. Women that make the world a better place. Happy Girl Crush Tuesday everybody.Today’s girl crush is on the brilliant Julie Bishop.
Whether you support liberal, labor, greens or other I believe you would be hard-pressed not to respect Julie Bishop.
She always holds herself with confidence, is aware of her words and rarely puts a foot wrong.
She is a very powerful Australian woman, who shows all little girls that women can make a difference.
Julie was sworn in as Australia’s first female Foreign Minister on 18 September 2013. She has a law degree and was a practising solicitor prior to her entry into politics. She is now the deputy leader of the Liberal Party.
Thank you Julie for displaying real girl power in a very male driven industry, I imagine there are plenty of little ladies around the country who will aspire to be like you one day.

Happy Girl Crush Tuesday everybody.
Today’s girl crush is on the brilliant Erin Molan.
Erin is a pioneer in Australian television insofar as she is breaking the glass ceiling for girls everywhere. She is not afraid to show people that you need to be treated correctly. She won’t stand for bullying and she is very successful in a heavily male driven industry.
You will have seen Erin on The Footy Show, offering a powerful voice to the many female fans of NRL. She holds her own and is a brilliant addition to the panel. She is a sport commentator, journalist and all-round entertainer.
She possesses a fantastic style and confidence that shines through. She is intelligent, witty and informative.
We thank you Erin for giving our little girls an example of just how a woman can succeed in an area that not many women have been before.

Having little girls in your life isn’t all about tutus and shotguns for future boyfriends (despite what the masses may tell you)
There are some things that no one really tells you, some things that you cannot really be prepared for and until you have one very special little lady in your life you will not really understand what we are talking about.
The clever and witty Bret Spears has put into words the things that No one ever tells you about having a daughter. It is funny and smart and a really brilliant read.
Happy reading Nesters!
Little girls just love their daddies. It is the simplest thing in life. Their first true love.
Essential kids have put together the list of all things little girls wish their daddies knew.
You can find it here -> ’25 things little girls wish their daddies knew’
Share this with all the daddies of the little ladies in your life.
In some parts of the world things are different. So very different.
In our little nest we try to believe that just because people believe things and do things differently than us, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is wrong.
BUT this is wrong.
Actually, wrong does not even begin to describe what is happening to these little girls.
According to CARE.org there are 67 million girls forced into marriage before the age of 18.
Let that sink in. That is three times the amount of people who live in the entire country of Australia.
It is estimated that there are almost 39,000 who are forced into marriages EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Girls who should be treated better. Girls who should have childhoods. Girls who need time to grow up.
Mamamia has published this article. Read it. Read about this little 8 year old girl who died. Read it.
We need to save these little girls, because if even their own parents aren’t protecting them who do they have left?
We need to help. We need to protect them. We need to save these little girls.

There is something so special about little girls and if you are lucky enough to have some of the beautiful little creatures in your life you MUST look at Tutu Du Monde. It is this wonderful place of inspiration and colour, dreams and texture. It makes me smile and shows me how gorgeous little people can be. The autumn/winter collection 2013 is what dreams are made of.
