{Girl Crush Tuesday} The powerfully talented Dr Fiona

We have some pretty hard girl crushes. These are the types of ladies that stamp their style on the world. They are the type of people that will always be remembered and little girls grow up wanting to be. They are women of substance.  Women that make the world a better place. Happy Girl Crush Tuesday everybody.

line4Today’s we salute the powerfully talented Dr Fiona Wood (FRCS, FRACS, AM, Winthrop Professor School of Surgery, UWA).

Dr Fiona is a British born plastic surgeon who works in Perth, Western Australia and has completely revolutionised the treatment of burns in Australia. She is the director of the Royal Perth Hospital Burns Unit and is also a clinical professor with the School of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Western Australia and Director of the Fiona Wood Foundation.

Australian of the Year in 2005, Dr Fiona is the ultimate idol for little girls. Showing that nothing gets in the way of hard work, determination and talent she is putting a solid mark on changing people’s lives for the better. Her foundation the Fiona Wood Foundation helps assist in the delivery of scarless healing – in mind, body and spirit – to all injury survivors. She abides by a well-known mantra that “The quality of outcome must be worth the pain of survival”.
