{Wear this} Finally a sleepwear armistice

An irrational ongoing search has been occurring in our household for the last few months. My toddler-bird and I have been at loggerheads for what counts as appropriate sleepwear.

Like I said, I am aware of its irrationality but if you have a three year old, wait – if you have ever even met a three year old, you will probably know how the smallest issues can often be the biggest things!

After wearing a tutu to bed, her Ariel swimmers, a cardboard box (I kid you not) and an American Indian costume I finally decided it was time that we set some boundaries (it was becoming an OH&S issue!).

Finally, we agreed on some gorgeous new sleepwear and I wanted to share with you:

pjs

These BONDS pyjamas are comfy and soft and girly enough that even her Royal-Highness-Toddler-Bird is happy to wear them.

I really cannot recommend these PJs enough  if you have a fussy little lady in your life.

You can find them here -> BONDS – Star PJs – Plus at the moment they are only $17.00!

Go get some!

{Prizeapolooza} Elin’s Emporium for all the little princesses in your life..

christmas photoshop small copy

It isn’t very often that you stumble upon someone you like straight away and I have to say from the moment I started speaking with Rebecca from Elin’s Emporium I felt that way.

elins logoNot only is she an extremely talented designer of all things perfect for the little birdies in your life but she is also extremely friendly and approachable.  Rebecca Baker2

Rebecca is responsible for creating handmade children’s dolls, softies, clothing & accessories that are all crafted from 100% high quality/designer cotton fabrics.

Starting from humble beginnings, she began sewing after the birth of her first daughter who was born with chronic eczema. Rebecca found that finding cotton clothing to fit her was tough! So, she began sewing gorgeous little clothes for her new little one.

Eventually, her family and friends realised how talented she was and encouraged her to begin her own line of children’s clothing and accessories. As a result Elin’s Emporium was created in December 2010.  dolls

The thing that sets Elin’s Emporium apart from the rest, is the quality of the items produced. All items are handmade personally by Rebecca. She has an eye for details and admits to being quite a perfectionist. She has a fairly simple motto which she follows strictly ‘If something isn’t perfect, I won’t sell it’.

Further, all of the fabrics she selects are high quality/designer fabrics, purchased both from her local quilting store and from other reputable sources online. She refuses to use cotton fabrics from chain stores and the like as their quality is lacking and they fade very quickly.

All items are pre-washed in sensitive laundry detergent to clean and prevent colour run. She also uses double stitching and tumble dries the fabric to prevent shrinking, all for your convenience.

Rebecca is so aware of how important superior and safe products are. Her own children suffer from allergies so quality, health and safety are the cornerstone of the her business.

The gorgeous dolls that she creates are stuffed with corn fibre which hold a low flammability rating. Plus they are also hypo-allergenic and anti-bacterial.

The promise from Elin’s Emporium is that with every purchase you are guaranteed a high quality product which has been made locally, with love and attention to detail (plus it has the loving approval of her three beautiful daughters!)

I can personally attest to how beautiful Rebecca’s designs are as my toddler-bird owns one of her beautiful cotton dresses. It is an absolute favourite in my little princess’ wardrobe.

Little girl dreams

There is something so special about little girls and if you are lucky enough to have some of the beautiful little creatures in your life you MUST look at Tutu Du Monde. It is this wonderful place of inspiration and colour, dreams and texture. It makes me smile and shows me how gorgeous little people can be. The autumn/winter collection 2013 is what dreams are made of.
