Jay & Rob – A love story

The Central Nest loves nothing more than a wedding, especially a beautiful, spring themed wedding. Jay & Rob have shared the details of their wonderful day with us. What an absolutely beautiful day. Congratulations.

Jay & Rob

Mr & Mrs Duffy

The love birds:  Jay Denhard and Robert Dufty

Reception & ceremony: Algona on Mount Panorama Estate

What a spectacular dress

The gorgeous veroma chocolate and pink dress

Decorations: Black table cloths and chair covers with green sashes. We decided to keep the tables simple and used tea light candles and blossoms.

Food: The awesome food was prepared by Algona. Entrée consisted of caesar or antipasto plate. The main were lamb shanks on a bed of sweet potato and a jus or chicken sundried tomato and a white wine sauce.

Cake:  A delicious Croquembouche made by the beautiful and talented Margo Burke.

Drinks: We had an open bar with beer, wine and soft drink. The bridal party had champagne to toast.

Photographer: The very clever and talented Steve and Julie (the ninja) Hastedt. Their photos were truly awesome and Steve and Jules just made it such a pleasant and relaxing day. They went above and beyond to create such amazing photos.

Cars: We had a V8 commodore and a Ford Falcon for the boys and a mini bus for the girls as there were 14 in the bridal party.

Rings: Gold and diamond ring for Jay and a titanium/carbon fibre ring for Rob all from Michael Hill Jewellers

Stationary: Brian Burke printing

Special moments: Jay says – Seeing my dad cry his eyes out and the look on the guests faces when I started to walk down the aisle. Also the moment I saw my gorgeous husband at the end of the aisle, and the smile radiating from his face. The reception was totally awesome and the whole day was just so relaxing. The bridal waltz. Oh, and the first glimpse of me all dressed, hair make up done.

Rob says – Hearing the song that Jay walked down the aisle too (My heart is beating like a jungle drum) and seeing her look so beautiful in her dress. The reception and the whole day was amazing. Driving around in the mini bus for photos.

Guests: 102

Cost: Around $14,000
