{Locally Found} Be taken to another world with Beauty & The Beast..

Opening tonight is a local production that EVERYONE should go and see.

‘Carillon Theatrical Society in association with Hal Leonard is proud to present ‘the award winning musical ‘Beauty and the Beast’ . Based on a traditional French fairy tale, the musical first ran on Broadway between 1994 and 2007, and quickly proved a favourite with audiences as Broadway’s eighth longest –running production in history, and has since been produced throughout the world.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ transports audiences to the heart of provincial life, and tells the story of the taming of a Beast by the intelligent and beautiful heroine, Belle. It is the story about one man’s loss of humanity, and how he overcomes this ultimately through true love. At the show’s heart is the conviction that true beauty is found within.

In Australia, Beauty & the Beast began its Australian run in Melbourne before moving to Sydney, and was the launch of Hugh Jackman’s stage career, who stole the show as the chauvinistic, arrogant Gaston.

Beauty and the Beast is proudly performed by one of the largest cast ever assembled by the Carillon Theatrical Society and represents the Society’s first Disney production. Beauty and the Beast is a fairytale musical that appeals to audiences of all ages, and is a show definitely not to be missed’.

The costumes, the practice, the storyline is all perfectly melded into a wonderful local production.

I am taking this as my first real girl date with my little toddler-bird and my own mumma-bird.

I cannot wait.

Do the right thing, grab tickets and support local.

{Design} Can I see your drawers?

I have found what I have been searching for – Admittedly I wasn’t even sure that I was searching, yet I feel like I have finally found some hidden treasure that should have always been mine.

Let me introduce you to the ‘Recycled Timber Luck of the Drawer’ from Jumbled in Orange.

The drawer is made from recycled timber and has six drawers. It has been hand painted with pastel coloured triangles and a wax finish.

This is so popular you need to order now for delivery in February next year!

You may wish to save your pennies though, it retails for $1,995.00 plus shipping.. Ah dreams…

Orange culture

Some people in the world are just better at stuff. Some people are clever with words. Some people are magic with instruments. Those that really astound me are those who can create wonderful pieces of art. I love that you can now view some of the very talented local artists work on Art of Orange.

Art of Orange allows you to view local works and if you fall madly in love with one, you are even able to purchase the piece!

Go on, go and get your culture on..
