One of my absolute favourite finds this year was Hair By Hair! Owned and operated by Emma Hair it is a fantastic salon that makes you feel good and most importantly welcome.

Emma works alongside Briana & Dianne and can take care of the whole family. They do cuts, colours and perms (not often but they can do it!). Extensions as well as bridal and event hair.

The whole team are highly trained in De Lorenzo products which are an Australian Family owned and operated Company. Their products are high quality, vegan, organic where possible, made and tested in Australia for our harsh climate

Hair By Hair opened in February 2006, with just Emma and her husband (who helped where he could!) Emma says hairdressing was always her passion and took a chance on starting a new business designed to focus less on busy appointment books and more on making clients feel good.

The thing that sets Hair By Hair apart is that they always offer real customer service, and take genuine pride in making people feel special.

It’s pretty simple Emma says just be genuine and take the time to listen. It seems to be working 14 years after starting her business and she has an incredibly loyal client network.

Hair By Hair works almost exclusively off word of mouth. Emma says it’s so rewarding when you meet a new client and they’re booked in because someone has told them how great Hair By Hair is!

Hair By Hair prides itself on being the type of business that means their staff can skip out to that important school assembly and get to weekend sport without feeling guilty. Striking a work/Life balance is so important (and ever changing) and Emma proudly says that she’s created a workplace which embraces the balance.
