Usually we keep things a little more local, but this is significant. So incredibly important.
After 83 years, women in Saudi Arabia have finally been permitted to vote in public elections.
A royal decree passed in 2011 is finally coming into effect and now women will be entitled to vote (and run) in public elections.
The idea that women across the world are not given the same rights, opportunities and prospects is unbelievable. I know in Australia how lucky I am to be seen as an equal and I can only hope that in one day, in the not too distant future that this will become the norm globally.
A sincere well done to all the wonderful people who have pushed for this to happen.
We salute you.
