{Girl Crush Tuesday} The remarkable Deborra-Lee

We have some pretty hard girl crushes. These are the types of ladies that stamp their style on the world. They are the type of people that will always be remembered and little girls grow up wanting to be. They are women of substance. Women that make the world a better place. Happy Girl Crush Tuesday everybody.line4 Today’s girl crush is on the fabulous Deborra-Lee Furness. Deborra is an outstanding person on SO. MANY. LEVELS.

She started her career as an actor and even studied at the acclaimed American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

While she has had significant success in the acting field it is her charity work that really amazes us. What makes Deborra-Lee so remarkable is her endless drive to create a better world. She has campaigned tirelessly to bring to the foreground the issues associated with adoption in Australia and around the world.

She is placing the limelight heavily on the need for action and change to find little people some loving homes sooner rather than later. She has been named the 2015 NSW Australian of the Year for her work as a child advocate and adoption campaigner.

On a personal level she is the mother to two beautiful children, Oscar and Ava and married to some guy named Hugh Jackman(!)

She is style. She is honest. She is Aussie gal done good.

Thank you from the bottom of our very grateful hearts Deborra-Lee for showing all little girls what hard work, perseverance and good intentions can do. We salute you.
