Who protects you if your own parents won’t?

In some parts of the world things are different. So very different.

In our little nest we try to believe that just because people believe things and do things differently than us, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is wrong.

BUT this is wrong.

Actually, wrong does not even begin to describe what is happening to these little girls.

According to CARE.org there are 67 million girls forced into marriage before the age of 18.

67 MILLION.

Let that sink in. That is three times the amount of people who live in the entire country of Australia.

It is estimated that there are almost 39,000 who are forced into marriages EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Girls who should be treated better. Girls who should have childhoods. Girls who need time to grow up.

Mamamia has published this article. Read it. Read about this little 8 year old girl who died. Read it.

We need to save these little girls, because if even their own parents aren’t protecting them who do they have left?

care

We need to help. We need to protect them. We need to save these little girls.
