Okay, so.. confession time. My toddler-bird ate home made baby food for about.. umm, maybe three weeks. I tried. Well, not convincingly. It was just too hard. She was too fussy. I gave up. I am not proud of it. But then something wonderful happened. Since having my baby-bird I have been introduced to Sinchies Reusable Pouches.
I can proudly and honestly say that baby-bird has only ever eaten home-made food. These pouches have been a savour. Easy to use and refill. You can freeze them, microwave them and even put them in the dishwasher!
I love products that just make life a little bit easier. This is that product for me!
My baby-bird particularly loves this Cauliflower & Apple recipe:
Ingredients:
1 Cauliflower
4 Apples
1/2 cup milk
Method:
1. Peel, core and cut apple into 3cm chunks
2. Cut cauliflower into similar size pieces.
3. Combine apple, cauliflower and milk on low heat on stovetop and cook until tender.
4. Once cooled, blend until you have the required consistency for your baby.
This recipe freezes really well.
