We have some pretty hard girl crushes. These are the types of ladies that stamp their style on the world. They are the type of people that will always be remembered and little girls grow up wanting to be. They are women of substance. Women that make the world a better place. Happy Girl Crush Tuesday everybody.
Funny, relatable, beautiful, knowledgeable with extremely good hair. Today’s girl crush is on the gorgeous Zoe Foster Blake. All round fabulous person.
Zoë is a writer, blogger and spectacular make-up putter-on-er-ra. She knows the difference between Sugarberry, Mauve and Aplum and can teach you to get rid of blackheads quicker than Anna Wintour ends careers.
She runs and contributes to a bunch of online sites including Fruitybeauty, Primped and Sunday Style
On a personal level she is married to the delightful comedian Hamish Blake from Hamish and Andy and they are expecting their first child together soon.
Here are some of our favourite Zoë looks:
Thanks for giving us a reason to love your guts Zoë (and for being my BFF-even if you don’t know.. !)
Simply beautiful style. Slightly preppy. Pops of colour. Comfortable chic.
Plus, who doesn’t love Kate Spade?
Really what else could you want?
Happy shopping Nesters!
Here is the go. We have some pretty hard girl crushes. These are the types of ladies that stamp their style on the world. They are the type of people that will always be remembered and little girls grow up wanting to be. They are women of substance. Women that make the world a better place.
Today’s girl crush is on an Australian favourite.
This lady is not only supremely beautiful and stylish but is also intelligent, well spoken and a power business lady. She has her own swimwear label Cozi as well as a self-tanning range JBronze and continues to grow her own business empire.
Not only does she grace the covers of magazines such as Harpers Bazaar and Marie Claire but she does so with class, brilliance and lovability.
She is married to her sweetheart and between multi-million dollar deals she donates hours to charities such as Sydney Cancer Foundation, The Sydney Children’s Hospital and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
She really is someone who epitomises girl power and really is a brilliant idol for all little ladies.
Thank you Jennifer Hawkins for being someone who is worthy of our girl crush.
Here are some of our favourite looks:
We are crushing on you pretty hard Ms Hawkins x
I have a confession to make. I am an absolute sucker for Peter Pan collars.
I’m not so sure exactly why I love them so but I really, really do.
Plus – you know.. all the cool kids are doing it (check out DKNY (right), Giambattista Valli (centre), and Louis Vuitton)
So because most of us do not have the coin (or enough combined creditcards that the husband won’t find out about) to purchase Louis Vuitton’s latest pieces here is a great DIY made by the fabulous team at HonestlyWTF.
Happy creating my little stylish Nesters x
Don’t just resolve to work out more, resolve to look good doing it.
A new wardrobe can help make you feel better, push harder and motivate you.
Here is a small collection of our favourite new workout wear.
Happy exercising Nesters x
Most peeps are heading back to work this week (somewhat begrudgingly I imagine) so here is some work wear inspiration.
If you have to go to work you might as well look pretty, and as I always say, Dior just makes life better.
AND the delicious DIOR bag… too expensive to list.. ahhhh dreams..
KIMONOS. Do I love them or hate them? I’m not entirely sure.
Part of me thinks ‘gorgeous, boho style‘ then the other part thinks ‘take yourself out the back and give yourself an upper-cut because you are just trying to justify wearing your dressing gown in public again’.
I will leave it to you..
Enjoy dressing up (or down) Nesters!
It is a well-established fact that at the Central Nest we are absolute shopaholics - but unfortunately always sometimes our budget does not quite meet our desires.

2. Anna-Karin Karlsson ’Rose et la Mer cat eye acetate’ sunglasses $684.14
3. Jimmy Choo ’Gilbert leather pumps’ $506.21
1. Michael Kors Hamilton large textured-leather tote $413.79
2. Ray Ban ’The Wayfarer acetate sunglasses’ $193.10
3.Sophia Webster ‘Lola mirrored-leather pumps’ $355.17
Happy shopping (dreaming) Nesters!
Not all baby girls need to wear bright-pink-floral-marshmallow-shaped dresses – sometimes simple, plain, well designed items are an underrated wardrobe staple.
1. Seed Heritage Baby girl Duck intarsia Light jumper $39.95
2. Country Road Baby girl soft pant dove grey $39.95. (My baby-bird owns these and they are simply sublime! – well worth the purchase)
3. Purebaby Smocked Sleeve Tee $29.95
Happy shopping Nesters!
You should always be dressed for success – shame that you often need to be successful before being able to afford the dress!
Regardless of that little issue, here is some new office work wear inspiration to dream about while saving your pennies (thanks Polyvore)
