The Hub Bathurst is taking last minute bookings for the Gypsy jazz night:
this Friday 15th November 2013.
The night will feature live music from Sydney gypsy/world band ARABESK. There will also be a four course Spanish set menu.
What a great excuse to find a babysitter and escape for a night of adult conversation, good food and some live tunes!
For a great night out give them a call on 02 6332 1565.
As I am completely sure that you have been calorie counting and exercising religiously all week, eating only green salad leaves with sprouts, please let me blow all that good work out of the water for you.
Here is the best thing you will try today. No, this week. Actually probably this month! Let me introduce you to the Italian Doughnut from Al Dente in Bathurst. Holy guacamole batman!! There is just not enough descriptive words (or obnoxious sounds) to explain how delicious this is. Go and get one. NOW. Pretend its your birthday. Or the cat’s bar mitzvah. Or John Wayne remembrance day. Just go! Happy Friday.
We have made a reservation at The Hub Bathurst on Friday 16 August. It is a five course Italian meal and we could not be more excited. The idea of grown up conversation with grown up people CANNOT wait!
The Hub can be contacted on 02 6332 1565 (These nights tend to book up quickly though!)
Annie’s Ice Cream Parlour in Bathurst is an icon, a right of passage and a pure joy for kids (big and small).
Located directly opposite the park it is such a special treat. My personal favourite is Sofala Gold which is a vanilla with honeycomb, but there is so many flavours to choose from!
I love the old school feel of this place and the look on my daughter’s face when we even drive past!
If you are a local you will already know about this place, but if you are from out of town I definitely recommend you pop in!
Cobblestone Lane Bathurst
There is an oasis in George Street, Bathurst, one of my very favourite places.
Providing this Bathurst local with the closest feeling to that of sitting in an exclusive restaurant in Sydney.
Fine Australian dining in Bathurst
Cobblestone Lane offers incredible food, anything from venison to scallops all the way to gnocchi or duck. In my opinion this place is the real deal.
I personally love going out for dinner and especially love going to places where they provide me with food I would not be able to make at home. Cobblestone Lane does just that.
To make it even more amazing is the fact that the staff are professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. The food mixed with the people make for such a welcoming atmosphere and a party for your tastebuds.
This is really a great place to go for that special occasion, or birthday or in my case, I could justify going there just for ‘happy Tuesday’ I love it that much.
NOTE: I really recommend the dessert tasting plate. You WILL NOT regret it!

The Hub is one of our favourite places to go in Bathurst.
The food is beautiful, natural and delicious. The coffee is a saviour on those cold wintery days.
One of the best things about the Hub is the beautiful outdoor space and to top it off they are wonderfully kid friendly.
